• The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. We are a church first and foremost, and we provide a multitude of church services, Sunday morning meetings, bible studies, recovery groups, fellowship and outreach opportunities, and children’s programs. We also provide spiritual counseling by appointment. We have an Emergency Disaster Service team along with our mobile feeding unit that is able to respond in the event of disaster. In the event of a disaster The Salvation Army provides immediate needs, including food and spiritual support, as well as long-term recovery supportive services after the disaster. Our Social services consist of food assistance, clothing assistance, hygiene assistance, emergency gas vouchers, senior lunch, Thanksgiving meals, Christmas food and gifts, PG & E assistance through funding provided by Dollar Energy. We are dedicated to doing the most good. We have only one agenda to meet human need without discrimination. Love has an Army.
